General Description : A photograph showing a view of a group of Royal Navy sailors lowering a torpedo through a hatch on the forecastle of the Diadem class cruiser HMS AMPHITRITE (1898), the ships forward guns can be seen in the foreground. Labelled as ‘Striking Down the Hatchway to the Submerged Flat’ and is in a series of images titled ‘Running Torpedos [sic] from Submerged Tubes “AMPHITRITE”’.
