General Description : A photograph showing a view of eleven (11) Royal Navy sailors on the bridge of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island, one of the men is wearing a lifebuoy from the ship around his head. Labelled as ‘Cooks of the messes’ and is in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
