General Description : A photograph showing a view from the on top of the aft gun turret of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island looking aft at the sea washing over the quarterdeck, one of the turrets gun barrels can be seen on the left. Labelled as ‘The quarterdeck on a sultry day’ and is No. 78 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
