General Description : A photograph showing a view from the bridge of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island looking aft along the port side of the ship as a wave breaks inboard amidships, a large amount of salvage equipment can be seen setup amidships on the left. Labelled as ‘Port side, looking aft during a heavy sea, shewing machinery in place’ and is No. 64 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
