General Description : A photograph showing a view from the bridge of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island looking forward toward the port bow of the ship as a group of sailors use a derrick to try and hoist a sunken salvage pontoon (called a camel) back into position. Labelled as ‘Hoisting a sunken camel’ and is No. 63 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
