General Description : A photograph showing a view from the aft superstructure of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island looking aft at a massive wave breaking over the gun turret and salvage equipment secured on the quarterdeck. Labelled as ‘Quarter deck - during a gale’ and is No. 57 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
