General Description : A photograph showing a view from the aft superstructure of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island looking aft at large waves breaking against the gun turret and the salvage equipment setup on the quarterdeck. Labelled as ‘Swells promenading the quarterdeck’ and is No. 55 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
