General Description : A photograph showing a view from the starboard side of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island of a Royal Navy steam launch towing a salvage pontoon (called a camel) toward the ships bows, the island can be seen in the background. Labelled as ‘The march of the camels’ and is No. 43 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
