General Description : A photograph showing a view of the salvage equipment setup amidships onboard the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island, there men working on the salvage equipment in the foreground and a large number of men can be seen standing on the aft superstructure in the background. Labelled as ‘General view amidships’ and is No. 32 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'. This image was reproduced in the 1907 edition of Jane’s Fighting Ships.
