General Description : A photograph showing a view of the forecastle of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island looking forward from starboard bridge wing, there men working on the salvage equipment setup on the bows and the ships officers can be seen inspecting their work. Labelled as ‘The forecastle shewing the men working & Captains going the rounds of inspection’ and is No. 27 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
