General Description : A photograph showing a view of the forecastle of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island after a gale, there men working on the salvage equipment installed on the bows. Labelled as ‘The forecastle after a storm. It takes some time for the sea to abate at Lundy’ and is No. 26 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
