General Description : A photograph showing a view of the forecastle of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island during a gale, there are waves breaking over the salvage equipment installed on the bows. Labelled as ‘The forecastle during a gale - The derricks are used for hoisting the camels’ and is No. 25 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
