General Description : A photograph showing a view of the quarterdeck of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island from the aft superstructure, the sea can be seen washing over deck at high tide, the aft turret and a number of vertical boilers can be seen in the foreground. Labelled as ‘The Quarter deck looking aft at high tide - calm weather’ and is No. 24 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
