General Description : A photograph showing a view of the quarterdeck of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island, looking forward toward the aft gun turret and superstructure, there are a number of vertical boilers on top of the turret and a number of large salvage lamps (?) on the deck next to the barbette. Labelled as ‘The Quarter Deck – shewing boilers on top of barbette & flare tips’ and is No. 23 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. "MONTAGU". May 30th 1906'.
