General Description : A photograph showing a view from astern of the Duncan class pre-dreadnought battleship HMS MONTAGU (1901) aground off Lundy Island, there are a number of lighters alongside loaded with salvage equipment. Labelled as ‘Salvaging the ship, hoisting in boilers & pumps’ and is No. 4 in a series of images titled ‘The Loss of H.M.S. “MONTAGU”. May 30th 1906'.
